Tactical Buyer

**TACTICAL BUYER / CREWKERNE - PERMANENT VACANCY**

**Location**: Crewkerne, Somerset

**Assignment**: Permanent contract

**Hours**: Monday to Thursday 07:00am - 15:45pm & Friday 07:00am - 11:00am (can be negotiable)

**Salary**: £28,000 - £32,000 per annum

Hawk 3 Talent Solutions, operating as an employment business, are currently recruiting for a Tactical Buyer based in Crewkerne for our well known manufacturing client on a permanent contract.

**Duties as a Tactical Buyer**:

- Ensure that any health and safety guidelines are followed in accordance with the EHS organizational arrangements roles and responsibilities, including maintaining 5S standards and ensuring the correct PPE is worn
- Entering data into the system for purchasing acrivities
- Tracking of purchase orders, status of orders and deliveries
- Supporting the materials team and strategic sourcing team to ensure material availability is not a risk
- Clearing invoice queries, obtaining credits or updating systems highlighting impact on PPI
- Support the sourcing team by managing the phase out / phase in of stock for source changes
- Understand coding and work with internal colleagues and suppliers to ensure the right parts are added / removed as necessary in a timely manner
- Ownership of the process from ordering to delivery and invoice payment to ensure all orders are acknowledged and expedited / deferred in line with production requirements daily
- Analyze supplier forecasts - weekly calls with key suppliers
- Ensure new parts are actioned on the New Parts Tracker
- Organize supplier meetings as and when required and represent the business
- Build relationships with both internal customers and external suppliers
- Understand the quality systems and PPAP expectations, highlighting any quality concerns immediately to the Supplier Quality Engineer and support as necessary on Inventory Management and any parts going through the PPAP process
- Actively participate within the high performance teams
