Customer Assistant

**Job Overview**:
Sew n Sew Bath, a haberdashery shop located in Bath Guildhall Market, is looking for a **Customer Assistant** to work **16.5 hours per week**. The required shifts are **Monday (12:00-16:00)**, **Friday (11:30-17:00)**, and **Saturday (10:00-17:00)**, with flexibility needed to cover holidays and sickness when required.
**Duties**:
- Provide friendly and professional assistance to customers in person and over the phone.
- Assist with customer inquiries, offer product information and process orders.
- Recommend products and upsell to enhance the customer experience.
- Address customer complaints or concerns with patience and empathy.
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
- Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth operations and high customer satisfaction.
**Skills**:
- Fluency in English (both verbal and written).
- Excellent communication and active listening skills.
- Strong time management and organizational abilities.
- Ability to understand customer needs and upsell products accordingly.
- Proficient phone etiquette and the ability to manage multiple tasks.
- Sales and upselling techniques to maximize opportunities.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Pay: £8.60-£11.44 per hour
Expected hours: 16.5 per week
