Profile - Quality Manager

Our client is a world leader in the manufacture of niche components and systems for the aerospace sector. They have established expertise utilizing metallic and composite materials developing innovative solutions for their international client base.

Job Role - Quality Manager

Reporting directly to the Head of Quality the QHSE Manager shall be responsible for the Quality Assurance, Health & safety, and Environmental aspects of the site and it’s supporting systems. Responsible for the maintenance of the Quality Management System(QMS) in accordance with regulatory, customer and company requirements.

Duties - Quality Manager
- Act as the liaison with external customers on all matters relating to quality, safety and environment
- Develop and maintain documented procedures which not only adhere to the appropriate regulatory / international standard and customer requirements, whilst promoting continuous improvement and cost reduction in our business processes.
- Communicate to Senior Management on the performance and measurement of the QMS systems and Quality KPI’s.
- Work closely with the estimating team at all stages to ensure conformance to customer requirements for all aspects of quality, safety and environment.
- Ensure that the department is adequately resourced to drive conformance to customer requirements, working closely with the appropriate project team
- Embed a proactive Quality approach supporting the manufacturing teams to ensure product quality is built into the manufacturing process.
- Evaluate and develop improved techniques for the control of quality, reliability and safety
- Facilitate teams to ensure continuous improvement within the QHSE system to reduce costs associated with Quality, Health, Safety, and Environment
- Complete QHSE system audits both internally and at supplier premises to ensure both compliance to system requirements and to identify area’s for improvement and cost reduction

Experience/Qualifications - Quality Manager
- Degree or equivalent experience in relevant discipline
- NEBOSH/IOSH Certificate or Diploma
- Experience in ISO 9001, EN 9100 standard requirements
- Experience in ISO 14001, ISO 45001 and ISO 50001
- Proven experience in a quality management role
