Psv Mechanic

Due to business growth and additional work, Hearn’s Coaches are currently recruiting for a PSV mechanic to join our engineering team based in Watford, Hertfordshire. Carrying out maintenance and repairs across our varied fleet of minicoaches, midicoaches and full size coaches, we have extremely modern and well maintained vehicles from manufacturers such as Mercedes, Scania, DAF, Volvo and Yutong.

The majority of work will be based out of our main operating centre in Watford. However we do have 2 other satellite depots, both about 10 minutes away from our main site where you will be expected to attend for AM runouts and defect repair.

**Day-to-Day Roles and Responsibilities**
- Routine servicing and maintenance of vehicles, including PMI checks. Preventative maintenance to ensure mínimal risk of vehicle failure
- Vehicle defect rectification, fault finding and running repairs
- Basic bodywork damage repair
- MOT preparation
- Vehicle diagnostics and electrical fault-finding
- Fast breakdown response
- Ensure all maintenance within the companies O-license guidelines
- Ensure all work undertaken is over and above DVSA standards
- Ensure all work undertaken is in accordance with health and safety guidelines

**Essential Requirements**
- IRTEC / City and Guilds / NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent in Heavy Vehicle Repair and Maintenance. If this is not possessed, time served experience will also be considered.
- Ability to join the companies out of hours on call rota for engineering assistance
- Able to work weekends occasionally if required
- Able to work across an early and late shift on rotation
- A can-do attitude with the ability to self-motivate
- Experience with diagnostic equipment, specifically Jaltest
- Electrical experience
- PC literate
- Own tools
- Car Driving License

**Desired Requirements**
- PCV License (essential requirement to be willing to get one for purposes of road testing, vehicle swaps, etc)

**Salary**: £40,000.00-£45,000.00 per year
