Part of Witherslack Group, we provide outstanding education for young people with a range of complex educational needs. Some may need emotional support to help them achieve their potential. Others may, for instance, function at an incredibly high level buthave ADHD, social communication difficulties or autism, and struggle to maintain concentration. Each child’s set of needs requires a unique approach and our teachers are there to deliver that. Channelling individual capabilities into academic success is thegoal, as part of a holistic and uniquely attentive educational strategy.

Luxborough Court School is a brand new modern purpose built school that was completed in 2017. It is registered for 150 pupils aged 5 - 19 with Autistic Spectrum Disorder.

There are approximately 20 classrooms, comprising a mixture of general teaching rooms for all year groups and more specialised science, food tech and DT classrooms. There is a large sports hall with changing facilities and there is a bespoke 6th form suite.

There are a number of other smaller individual spaces used for therapeutic intervention and bespoke support packages.

The School benefits from extensive outdoor space, including an area for the delivery of horticulture.

There is a large central courtyard garden in the centre of the school and separate secondary and junior playgrounds and a fenced off multi-use games area.

There are good public transport connections with Chigwell Station one mile away, providing London Underground Central Line services to central London and other Essex towns. The road links are good and the site is located adjacent to the M11 although accessto it is approximately 2.3 miles south at Woodford Junction 4. The M11 links from Cambridge to London.

Your focus will be to make a real impact by guiding pupils, at this transformative age, toward a new path and helping to shape their behaviours for the better.

You will:

- Support the emotional development of each and every child
- Work closely with Clinical Services, the Pastoral Team, Teaching Assistants and the Senior Leadership Team to uncover root causes of each child’s particular challenges
- Address those challenges strategically, collaboratively and holistically to enable each child to meet their full potential

Every classroom will have the latest equipment to ensure you are able to deliver engaging and impactful lessons. What’s more, because each class has a maximum of eight children (and a Teaching Assistant at your side), you can expect to be able to give theright amount of attention to each child and really work with them to achieve results.
