**We’re looking for a Commercial Lead, New Distribution Partnerships to join the SB Partnerships Team in London.**
- Here's what you will be doing:_
- building an in-depth knowledge and understanding of the existing and emerging distribution opportunity and competitive environment
- developing a New Distribution Partnerships Strategy, mapping critical paths, and working with key stakeholders
- developing success measures/KPIs and reporting to key stakeholders
- presenting new or different commercial models required to win partnerships in new verticals
- initiating and developing relationships with prospects, creating a pipeline for Development Managers
- communicating deal progress, forecasting and reporting to planning forums and leadership
- maintaining and developing an extensive network of contacts and sharing emerging trends and opportunities
- leading and developing a small team and embedding key strategic and delivery goals
- aligning with Initiative teams to deliver on time and in scope, while taking accountability for a robust distribution marketing plan
- We're looking for someone who is:_
- experienced (5+ years) in business development roles for B2B sales and channel partnership programmes
- experience of working with organisations in the SME ecosystem, ideally related to insurance or financial services and with a relevant network of relationships
- a strategic, critical and creative thinker who’s able to identify ways a new partnership could work
- excels in creating successful sales strategies and pitching, negotiating and closing multiple partnership deals of varying type and complexity
- a decision maker who welcomes accountability and demonstrates competitive spirit and problem solving skills
- a highly effective relationship builder who can engage people and understand the needs of prospective partners
- self-reliant and self-motivated to meet, and exceed, sales goals
- able to work in a nimble, fast growing environment, where leading the way is critical
- high-energy and growth-focused, with the ability organise, focus and motivate others even through periods of uncertainty

A few more details about the role:

- directly accountable for the delivery and execution of a New Distribution strategy that delivers the budgets, targets and OKRs for new initiatives and commercial success for new partners
- accountable for delivering the best financial outcomes from new partnerships, while also considering the best customer outcomes
- line manager for a small team where responsibilities include setting targets and objective key results (OKR), and supporting team development through training and coaching
- responsible for negotiating commercial terms, budgeted launch plans and contracts with new partners in new verticals
- responsible for managing team expenditure budget
