**Job Title: Assistant headteacher**

**Location: Ashley Park School, Walton on Thames**

**Salary: Starting from £45,000 per annum**

**Hours: 40 hours per week; Monday - Friday - 8am - 4pm**

**Contract: Permanent**

Are you a Assistant Headteacher committed to improving the lives of children and young people? We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher to join our brand new team at Ashley Park School
**Job Purpose**:

- Support the Head Teacher (and further SLT) in leading curriculum innovation and design appropriate for our cohorts and in line with the school vision
- Support in leading on the effective implementation of the curriculum
- Put provision in place to ensure that progress of pupils improves
- Ensure that the school carries out its statutory responsibilities regarding all students with an EHCP
- Support all staff in understanding the needs of SEN pupils
- Promote a culture and practices that enables all pupils to access the curriculum
- Support in monitoring progress of the pupils
- Establish and oversee Curriculum systems, processes and policies to ensure all pupils can access the curriculum
- Monitoring progress towards the achievement of the school’s aims and objectives
- Work with the SLT, MLT and teachers to ensure all pupils learning is of equal importance and that there are high and realistic expectations of pupils.

Ashley Park School is a brand-new independent specialist school for pupils with autism. The school will cater for pupils aged 11 - 6 years old.
Ashley Park School is located in the stunning market town on the south bank of the Thames in the borough of Surrey. It forms part of the Greater London built up area and is served by a wide range of transport routes to school, making it easily accessible. Our new specialist school will cater for young people with complex communication needs, autism and associated learning and motional needs.
