Housing Support Officer

As a housing management worker, you will support residents and assist the Are Team Leader to ensure that our housing services are adequately managed, key works with residents, the accommodation is secure and the Health and Safety standards are maintained.
**Job overview**
**Duties**
- Interviewing clients and assessing their needs
- Assessing risks and ensuring clients accommodation is safe and secure
- Developing and maintaining professional trusting relationships with clients
- Conducting weekly key works with your client group
- Advising clients on their rights e.g., Benefits and Healthcare
- Resolutions of problems with regard to the payment of housing benefits
- Helping clients with practical skills such as cleaning and cooking
- Maintaining accurate client records, in a timely manner
- Making referrals to specialist services e.g., Mental Health support
- Working in partnership with other agencies when necessary
- Supporting clients when moving on
- Preparing rooms for incoming clients
- Ensuring that all documentation relating to our supported housing is up to date at all times
- Providing accurate information to the Senior Housing management worker for regular reports
- Any other duties appropriate to the post
**Hours of work**
37 hours
Shifts - 8-4pm, 9-5pm and 10-6pm rolling.
Driver license and use of car essential
Mileage paid at 40p per mile
