The Finance Business Partner is an integral position within the finance department requiring internal liaison with staff at all levels, most notably providing financial support to members of the Leadership Team, by working in partnership with them and relevantteam members. The key function of this role is to supply financial information, offer advice and guidance which will inform, influence and readily support their decision making. The Finance Business Partner has overall accountability for preparing, developing, and managing all aspects of the monthly management accounting, annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting as well as providing support for the annual Business Planning cycleand year end audit and statutory accounts. Supervising a part qualified Management Accountant. Reporting to the Head of Finance. **Key Responsibilities**: The duties of the Finance Business Partner include the following: - Analyse financial information to assist business profitability and growth via the monthly management accounts. - Provide accurate and sound management reporting to assist with key decision making for each budget holder on a monthly basis. - Build strong and positive relationships with senior staff and provide them with the necessary assistance and professional advice to assist them with the financial aspects of their duties. - Prepare accurate and timely management accounts and support the statutory audit preparation. - Partner with operational colleagues to contribute to annual budgeting, forecasting & business planning. - Manage capital expenditure and ensure the fixed asset register for all asset classes is accurately maintained. - Produce financial statements including P&L accounts, cash flows, variance analysis and commentaries. - Accountability for cash flow and production of forecasts - Produce and review those not prepared, monthly reconciliations for all Balance Sheet accounts. - Production of relevant commercial analysis e.g., margins and pricing - Review & assist development with investment / project appraisals. **Person Specification** **Essential** - Fully qualified accountant (CIMA/ACA/ACCA) - Advanced excel skills - Ability to collect and interpret financial and operational data to assess efficiency and effectiveness, undertaking analysis and reporting and making recommendations as appropriate - Thorough understanding of management information systems - Exceptional interpersonal skills and able to successfully communicate and influence with people at all levels, both financial and non-financial - Good oral and written communication skills, ability to put complex financial issues into layman’s terms for non-specialist audiences - Highly competent, with solid commercial acumen **Desirable** - Previous experience and understanding of working within the housing sector **Excellent benefits** Contribution to your pension of up to 7% of your salary **Hybrid working and a tax free working from home allowance of £500** Up to £600 towards approved Health and Wellbeing expenditure Six months full pay and six months half pay for sickness Support for approved training Payment of professional subscriptions Free tea, coffee, milk and squash Free fruit Free parking Employee Assistance Programme One paid day off a year for volunteering or "giving back" One paid day off a year dependents leave Option to buy or sell annual leave.
