We are a family run, independant home furnishings store, Tyrrells Home Furnishings started business in 1902 in Motherwell. In 1934 Jimmy Tyrrell Snr opened a business in Burnbank, Hamilton not far from the present showroom. Jimmy Tyrrell Jnr joined the business in 1957 and together they built a tremendous clientele, across Lanarkshire and central Scotland, based on recommendations and repeat business.
In later years Jimmy’s sons James and John joined the business. In 2018 James’ son, Chris joined the family business and now we have a tremendous team taking the business from strength to strength.
We supply and fit all types of floorcoverings for the home and offer a wide selection of sofas, chairs, lounge/dining/bedroom furniture and beds from some of the best manufacturers in the world.
Our business is based on three simple goals: To provide the best quality for the best value with the best service.
We are a close knit working team always working with the customers best interest at the forefront of our mind.
**Job description**
**Sales Advisor**
If you're passionate about helping people create all round beautiful homes involving all products from flooring to furniture then you could be the perfect fit for our sales team. We are looking for a driven, enthusiastic and confident sales advisor to join our team at Tyrrells This role will be centred around providing great quality assistance and advice to our customers, aswell as maximising sales.
The role will also incorporate the assisting of evolving and growing our social media platforms and e-commerce channels.
This role will also incorporate the assisting of managing our social media platforms and our newly launched e-commerce channel. This requires a creative thinking and forward planning attitude with knowledge in online trends and habits. Experience in IT and Social Media usage would be desirable.
- Excellent time management skills
- Experience in a sales environment (desirable)
- Ability to work under pressure in a busy retail environment
- Ability to work within a team environment
- Ability to prioritise and think 'customer first, every time'
- An eye for detail and a passion for home interiors
- IT skills in relation to e-commerce platforms, social media apps, office apps
- Daily sales, providing quality service to customers who visit Tyrrells
- Ensure the order process is streamlined from start to finish with our customers
- Ensuring every customer has the best experience when they visit Tyrrells
- Providing customers with excellent knowledge of our products, whilst offering the best price
- Ensuring our showrooms remain well organised and tidy to enhance the customers journey
- Assisting in the management of our e-commerce & social media channels
**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent
**Salary**: From £22,000.00 per year
Schedule:
- 8 hour shift
- Day shift
- Weekend availability

We are complying with the COVID-19 precautions. All staff & customers required to wear a facemask, numbers in store being monitored, perspex screens installed at close customer contact areas and touch points/sampling are sanitised regularly.
