Demand Planner

We have an exciting opportunity for a Demand Planner to join the Supply Chain team on a **12 month Fixed Term Contract**, where you’ll be responsible for creating and maintaining base forecast models for customers, utilising data from internal and external sources and gaining consensus from stakeholders. You will also ensure forecast stability, drive improvement in forecast accuracy, support the integrated Business Planning Process and volume input into Production, Inventory Planning and Finance

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop and maintain demand operational forecasts for customers and products from month +2 to an 18-month rolling period, collaborating with key stakeholders
- Drive continuous improvement in forecast accuracy and demand planning processes
- Lead Monthly Account Review meetings using the process to identify risks and opportunities
- Review historical sales trends, research demand drivers, prepare forecast data, develop statistical forecast models, and evaluate forecast results
- Coordinate cross-functional and external customer research to refine the forecast model and reflect updated sales and marketing assumptions
- Use and maintain the Demand Planning software as the primary forecasting system tool
- Provide input to develop and refine inventory strategies on existing items, new products, and product phase-outs maximising profit and customer service
- Coordinate customer action plans with Supply Planning and take responsibility for Demand Management process where required
- Prepare and maintain relevant reports for the demand planning process and the forecast tables within AX for pack change process
- Support the identification of Risks and Opportunities to the forecast
- Work with Account Managers to forecast ‘events’ such as promotions and range change

**Requirements**:
You will need to be an experienced demand planner with proficiency in numeracy, statistics, forecasting and forecasting methods. Have strong analytical, organisational, and decision-making skills, and understand commercial and customer environments and factors influencing sales and profit. You’ll have excellent communication, influencing and teamworking skills, coupled with risk management and contingency planning skills. You will also have robust presentation skills and intermediate to advanced level with MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Knowledge of world-class demand planning systems will be an advantage.
