**Role**

As Product Designer you will play a key role in building the platform that makes Bango the technology behind every payment choice. Reporting to the Director of Product Management, you will play a pivotal role in building the Bango products. You will be responsible for ensuring the usability of what the product teams build, and how customers and users experience the value provided by the product.

We seek a versatile User Experience or Product Designer, a product thinker who understands platform businesses and product design. Your responsibility will cover APIs, developer interfaces and more typical user interfaces. You will be passionate about building great products and will evangelise design best practice methods for B2B SaaS products.

As the first Product Designer in Bango, you will work collaboratively with multiple product teams as well as working with Sales, Delivery, Customer Success, Support and Marketing to drive the product towards the product vision, ensuring the usability for users and customers.

**Responsibilities**

Understand and communicate how the product will be structured and will behave for users and customers, through all the touch points on the customer journeys.

Understanding user behaviors and needs, evaluating solutions through user research.

Discover opportunities by continuously listening to the customers, learning from what has been released and examining available data.

Work with Product team to explore ideas and generate prototypes rapidly, as well as conducting experiments to test the value and usability risks related to those ideas.

Collaborate with product team and stakeholders to find solutions to problems, mitigating usability and value risks as rapidly as possible.

Communicate validated, data informed solutions that are shaped for development, through providing design assets for product delivery with clear content design.

Collaborate closely with product management, engineering, marketing, sales, delivery teams to build and release products.

Understand the challenges facing your market, your target customers and the business and formulate ideas on how to overcome those challenges.

As the first Product Designer in Bango, you will champion and drive User Experience throughout the company and the importance of strong usability in products.

You will be responsible for the tools used for creating design artefacts and prototypes.

**Essential**

You will be:

- An experienced UX designer or Product Designer with strong prototyping skills and a strong portfolio of UI visuals and UX examples.
- Curious and keen to listen and learn
- A product thinker with strong product sense
- Experienced in SaaS and B2B software
- Technically strong. Able to intelligently question and debate detailed technical aspects of interaction design, specifically around API design as well as User Interface design.
- Collaborative approach to product design.
- Strong communication skills to communicate with product team, internal and external stakeholders, customers, and users.
- Willing to travel to meet our global customers and partners (situation and travel rules permitting)

**Desirables**

You may have experience
- In the financial services or payments industries
- In B2C or B2B2C software
- With UX and no code tools for prototyping
