**About the role**

Due to our current Financial Controller moving on to pastures new, we are seeking a new and talented **Financal Controller **to join our expanding and thriving team in Swaythling, Southampton. This is a role is at core to the success of our business as we look to execute further planned growth. If successful, you will work closely with the Managing Director and be responsible for the many of the financial aspects of the business. Essentially, you will have held similar roles prior with proven experience in delivering excellence and accuracy in an accounting function.

Literacy in Xero is essential and should be at least a minimum of 24 months. Proficiency in Mircosoft Office including Word and Excel is also a requirement.

The role and its main responsibilities consist of.

Reconciliation of bank accounts

Record bank payments from bank statements onto Xero

Process sales invoices, receipts and payments

Production of monthly Management Accounts

Production of Creditor and Debtor reports

Reconcile nominal code and check over all accounts ready for company year end and liaise with accountants

Manage and produce quarterly VAT returns

Management of employee expenses and petty cash including P11D’s where required

Management of company Payroll

Experience of Xero accounting software essential and cloud based EDI systems

Ability to manage and prioritise own workload

Numerical literacy and analytical skills

Attention to detail is essential

Strong verbal and written communication skills

**Salary**: £13.50-£16.00 per hour

**Job Types**: Full-time, Part-time
