**Place of Work**:Tobin Centre, 8 Ardboe Rd, Cookstown BT80 0HT**

**Hours of Work**:Flexible hours, including early mornings, evenings, or weekends as required.**

**Rate of Pay**:£ TBC**

**Purpose of the Job**

The Centre Cleaner will be responsible for ensuring a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the Tobin Centre. This includes maintaining clean, tidy, and safe spaces for staff, service users, and visitors.

**Key Duties and Responsibilities**
- **General Cleaning Duties**:

- Clean all designated areas, including offices, meeting rooms, communal spaces, corridors, toilets, and kitchen areas.
- Brush, vacuum, mop, and polish floors as required.
- Dust and wipe down surfaces, including desks, tables, chairs, and equipment.
- Empty bins and ensure proper waste disposal.
- **Sanitisation and Hygiene**:

- Disinfect high-touch areas such as door handles, light switches, and handrails.
- Maintain toilet facilities, including replenishing soap, toilet paper, and hand towels.
- Ensure kitchen areas are kept clean, including worktops, sinks, and appliances.
- **Health and Safety Compliance**:

- Follow all cleaning health and safety regulations, including correct handling of cleaning chemicals.
- Report any maintenance or safety hazards to the Centre Co-ordinator.
- Ensure all cleaning equipment is stored securely and maintained in good condition.
- **Special Cleaning Tasks**:

- Carry out deep cleaning during school holidays or after events.
- Clean windows, skirting boards, and other hard-to-reach areas periodically.
- Assist with setting up or tidying event spaces as required.
- **Stock Management**:

- Monitor cleaning supplies and request replenishment when necessary.
- Ensure correct storage and usage of cleaning products.
- **Other Duties**:

- Support the wider team in maintaining the cleanliness and presentation of the centre.
- Carry out any additional cleaning tasks as required.

**Essential Skills and Attributes**
- Experience in a cleaning role, preferably in a public or community facility.
- Knowledge of cleaning procedures and safe use of cleaning products.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Reliable, trustworthy, and hardworking.
- Basic knowledge of health and safety procedures.
