Ideal career opportunity for newly qualified psychologists and those with good clinical experience, with aspirations/ experience to supervise clinical practitioners. We are looking for an experienced, enthusiastic, and flexible CAMHS practitioner who loves variety and a challenge to take up this exciting role in the established Schools Mental Health Support Team and Getting Help Team in Slough. We currently have a hybrid model of home and face-to-face working, allowing a flexible approach to offering support.

This post will suit a clinician with a strong interest in early help/prevention work, evidence-based interventions and schools/community work. Training in a core profession and experience of working within mental health services for children and young people is essential. Ideally you will have some experience in delivering clinical supervision and a supervision qualification or willingness to undertake training.

- Demonstrate specialist skill in delivering evidence-based interventions for children and young people (CYP) in education and community settings with mild to moderate mental health problems
- Be confident in the use of CYP IAPT principles, evidence-based interventions and routine outcome measures
- To ensure that care is delivered in a person-centred manner ensuring the gender, ethnic cultural and spiritual needs of service users inform practice, and uses a trauma-informed approach
- Helping children and young people who present with higher need to rapidly access more specialist services; using effective multiagency collaborative working to effectively signpost as needed

1. be confident in assessing for and delivering, high quality, outcome focused, evidence-based interventions to children and young people experiencing mental health difficulties; and offer support to other senior clinicians through clinical supervision
2. be confident in working in a multiagency setting, working collaboratively with colleagues in schools and across the wider system
3. as a person, be organized with good time management skills and will always be looking for new or better ways to deliver care and be keen to learn,
4. and most of all will have a calm, friendly and compassionate outlook and have a keen interest in working in schools settings, and in early intervention and mental health promotion.
