**Job Type**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**:

- 39-hour contract**:£32,136.00-32,744.40** (including sleep-in rate)
- Sleep-in rate **£58.00** (average of 2.25 sleep-ins per week)

(Salary scales are dependent on qualifications and previous experience).
- Plus higher sleep-in rate paid for additional sleep-ins above rota'd amount and 10% increase on hourly rate for any overtime hours completed (between a set 4 week period). T&Cs apply

**The Role: Residential Childcare Worker**

In this role you will form part of the team working in our children’s home at Lily Residential Services supporting in a 2:1 capacity. This home will offer specialised care designed to provide individualised support for children and young people with specific and complex needs that may not thrive in traditional group home settings.

**As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will be involved in support the young person’s activities such as**:

- Outdoor activities, beach days, walks around the parks or local area, cycling, paddle boarding, movie nights in, adventure parks, weekly house takeaways and meals out.
- As a role model to our young people you will provide daily care and support to children and young people to make sure they can make good choices.
- Teaching and promoting life skills to help the child develop independence and self-sufficiency.
- You will support in the running of the home such as cooking the home meals, cleaning, supporting in maintaining a home that our young people want to live in, first aid, health and safety, gardening, growing your own veg (if space allows).

**As a Residential Childcare Worker, you will also**:

- Ensuring the physical and emotional safety of the child by maintaining a secure and supportive environment.
- Developing strong, trusting relationships with the child to provide emotional support and stability.
- Implementing therapeutic techniques and interventions as part of a care plan.
- Maintaining accurate and detailed records of the child’s progress, behaviours, and any incidents.
- Supporting the child’s educational needs, including helping with homework and liaising with schools.
- Participating in regular training sessions to stay updated on best practices in child care, behaviour management, and therapeutic interventions.
