Senior SEO Specialist

**About the role**:
As part of the RS Global SEO team, we are driving commercial performance and brand awareness through visibility on SERP (Search Engine Results Page) within 32 markets. To make SEO a strategic advantage of RS Group, we want to recruit a team of experts skilled in data science, machine learning, and artificial intelligence.

Working closely with cross-functional teams, this team will set clear SEO goals, optimisation directions, and collaboratively drive successful outcomes with stakeholders. Our increased SEO maturity will set a new industry standard for SEO operational excellence

As the Senior SEO Specialist, you will drive a big focus on maximising the value of SEO investment by using insight to identify optimisation opportunities for major RS markets.

Establish a team of SEO specialists who provide action recommendations for cross-functional teams

**Key accountabilities**:

- Assist in building out a team of 2 SEO Specialists across international locations
- Coordinate with SEO agencies / SEO platform vendors to ensure alignment on insight and optimisation activities, capability, and project managements
- Oversee local keyword research, keyword mapping and maintenance processes for 2 major markets
- Provide local markets with insight on performance vs target, performance drivers, focus areas for optimisations, and prescriptive SEO actions
- Prioritise commercial opportunities based on demand size, growth trend, potential increase in traffic and revenue and return on investment
- Manage the end-to-end metadata optimisation process, providing optimisation support to content and link building teams
- Ensure your team establishes strong relationship with your local markets and drive accurate local language insights and SEO optimisation
- Ensure your team establishes strong relationship with key stakeholders in Content, PPC (Pay Per Click), Merchandising, Product Management
- Support SEO Insight and Optimisation Manager in creating SEO operational excellence for cross-functional teams
- Communicate performance impact from SEO optimisation activities

**What we’re looking for**:

- You have proven record of accomplishment in improving SERP results via SEO optimisation activities
- You have experience in leading, coaching teams
- You are fluent in presenting SEO performance stories
- You are organised with project management skills
- You can use tools such as SEO tools such as BrightEdge, Ahrefs, MOZ, Google Search Console, Adobe, and PowerBI
- Excellent grasp of Excel. Experience with Python or R programming is beneficial but not essential
- You stay up to date on SEO Best Practices and Search Engine Industry
