Medicines Counter Assistant

**Job Summary**
Full time role - Week 1 - Monday to Friday, Week 2 - 4 days plus Saturday
**Duties**
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their inquiries regarding medications and services.
- Process prescriptions accurately and efficiently, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations.
- Provide information on medication usage, potential side effects, and storage requirements to patients.
- Assist in the preparation and dispensing of medications under the supervision of a licensed pharmacist.
- Maintain an organised and clean counter area, ensuring that all products are displayed correctly.
- Handle cash transactions and maintain accurate records of sales.
- Collaborate with pharmacy staff to ensure optimal patient care and service delivery.
**Skills**
- Previous experience as a pharmacy assistant is highly desirable.
- Knowledge of medication administration protocols and patient care practices is essential.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex information clearly to patients.
- Excellent organisational skills, with attention to detail in all tasks performed.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also being self-motivated.
