An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Medical Workforce Team at Greater Manchester Mental Health NHS Foundation Trust.
The Medical Workforce Team is a small and friendly team dedicated to providing a broad range of Medical Workforce support to the medical staff across the organisation. The post holder will have the opportunity to gain experience across a broad range of Medical Workforce processes including medical locum bookings and rota planning. The role will offer both a variety and plenty of opportunities for learning.
The post-holder will report to the Medical Workforce Advisor and will be supported and developed on a day to day basis by the senior members of the team. Although the role is well supported, the ability to plan your workload and work autonomously will be expected.
Experience in Medical Workforce and the NHS would be an advantage but isn't essential, as long as you have experience in a similar working environment.
To be the first point of contact regarding Junior Doctor and Consultant rota queries for assigned areas.
To action swap requests to rotas ensuring compliance with the Junior Doctors Contract (2016) rules and Working Time Regulations
To arrange locum cover for short term rota gaps with internal or external medical staff. Following Trust and NHS guidelines and compliance requirements. Placing bookings on the relevant Trust system i.e. NHSP Connect.
To support the Medical Workforce Advisor with drafting on call rota templates.
Be responsible for the absence inputting for medical staff on the appropriate recording mechanisms i.e. DRS Real Time, ESR, Healthroster etc. in a timely manner.
