ADAS is looking for an** Ecologist or Senior Ecologist** to join our team based in **Bristol **on a full time, permanent basis.
As the Ecologist / Senior Ecologist, you will help us manage projects, liaise with clients and carry out protected species surveys. These roles are full of variety and you'll be joining a nationwide ecology team of approachable, skilled and knowledgeable people. We work on a variety of big and small projects from development, utilities, renewable energy and rural industries.

**Key responsibilities**
- Working as a team with our existing ecologists to ensure quality projects are delivered on time to our clients
- Managing projects from inception to finalisation
- Talking to our clients and providing solid technical advice
- Writing of technical reports including but not limited to, Preliminary Ecological Appraisals, Ecological Impact Assessments, Mitigation Strategies and protected species reports
- Leading on protected species surveys and training junior staff
**Person Specification**
- Associate Level CIEEM membership or above
- An in-depth knowledge of ecology, legislation, and survey techniques
- Experience of managing projects and liaising effectively with clients
- Excellent written communication skills and be able to produce accurate technical reports
- A pro-active attitude to managing your own time, finding solutions and ensuring that work is delivered on time and to the required standards
**Salary and Benefits**
- £24,000 - £37,000 per annum, depending on skills and experience
