We are expanding our team at our residential children's home in **Leighton Buzzard **and are looking to recruit a** Team Leader **to work closely with our Registered Manager and deputise for them in their absence.

**Outline of role**

You will lead a team of 15 staff that support 2 boys and 2 girls who share a house. You'll provide coaching, mentoring and encouragement to your team, working with them to find creative ways of interacting with children who have learning disabilities and/ or autism. You'll also provide direct support to the children, and liaise with families, social workers and other members of each child's support circle.

These young people have complex needs and each one has their own independent support plan. They may show challenging behaviour at times but our specialist teams and Registered Manager will support you to learn ways of helping them to manage their behaviour.

This is a full time role working 37.5 hours per week. Shift patterns are 07:00-14:30, 14:30-22:00 and sleep ins.

**About you**

You'll be someone who can see the bigger picture and have the visionary skill to be able to help develop the service further.

You must have supervisory experience within the social care sector, understanding the intricacies and challenges involved.

You will need to be flexible and organised, with a positive approach. Attention to detail, and good Microsoft Word and Excel skills would also be beneficial.

You must be a driver with a manual licence, as you will be driving service vehicles.
