Here at**Langdons**,we havean amazing opportunity for a**LGV Driver (Shunter)**to join the team based in Peterborough**.**You will be working on a **full time, permanent** basis, working 4 on 4 off nights and in return, you will receive a **highly competitive salary of £39,444.64 per annum plus excellent company benefits**

**The LGV Driver (Shunter) role**:
This is a very active role which will always keep you on the move There are varied duties including, moving LGV/HGV vehicles and trailers, directing onsite traffic and working with dock office and transport departments.

Your role will be to ensure that customer goods are moved around on-site and transported between designated sites in a safe, cost-effective and efficient manner. You will also assist with general driving duties to ensure company and legal requirements aremet.

**What you’ll be doing as our LGV Driver (Shunter)**:

- Conducting daily checks, reporting any defects and / or damage and completing relevant documentation
- Carrying out and completing trailer checks on loaded trailers and reporting to operations desk
- Carrying out shunting duties including relevant maintenance and safety checks
- Following company rules, site procedures and all aspects of Health & Safety and Hygiene at all times
- Effectively managing own working time
- Liaising with colleagues and ensuring completion of shift report
- Liaising with the warehouse control and goods in staff to ensure smooth and efficient loading / unloading of trailers
- Completing vehicles downloads
- Monitoring services / MOTs
- Keeping yard in clean / tidy condition
- Liaising with Transport Office as and when required
- Manage the flow of traffic in and out of the yard

**What qualifications, experience and skills are we looking for in our LGV Driver (Shunter)?**

Along with a good work ethic and time management skills, all that we ask is you have an LGV Cat C&E Licence.
