As an Accounts Payable Specialist you will be the authority on the Accounts Payable system module and processes, assisting with the developmentand implementation of the next generation of Accounts Payable systems.

**Client Details**

The client is a global leader in software development, solutions and IT. They have offices based across the world and offer hybrid working for this role based in their head officer at the city of Cambridge. They are looking for an experience Accounts PayableSpecialist to join their team on a Fixed Term Contract (FTC) for 24 months (2 yrs).

**Description**

**Accounts Payable Specialist Key Responsibilities**:

- Issue purchase orders and track associated costs against these
- Initial receipt of invoices, expense reports, credit card statements or other similar documentation
- Calculate and check to make sure payments, amounts and records are correct
- Work with colleagues to ensure all costs are appropriately approved for payment
- Work with suppliers to resolve any queries, disputes or outstanding invoices
- Monitor all vendor payment agreements to maximise discount or cash flow opportunities
- Keep track of credits owed to the company and ensure all credits are properly applied to vendor payments
- Reconcile payable reports each month to confirm that all amounts paid were accurate

**Profile**

**Successful Accounts Payable Specialist**:

- Competent using Excel - V-look ups and pivot tables
- You will have experience within a similar role
- Strong communications skills both verbal and written
- A team player who is comfortable using their initiative to ensure deadlines are met
