A bespoke building and joinery contractor are currently seeking an Accounts Assistant /Senior Admin Officer to join their team in Wotton-under-Edge, Gloucestershire.

They have thriving departments in small works, bespoke joinery and major projects, with dedicated teams and director level management in each sector.

The administration department is the key to their success in supporting and providing a first class service to the wider business to enable its goals to be met.

**Responsibilities and Accountability**
- Weekly Payroll
- Allocation of payments/receipts on to the ledger Process purchase invoices
- CIS processing/return
- Process sales invoices
- Process sub contract invoices
- Bank Reconciliations
- Credit card Reconciliations
- Process Loan accounts
- Deal with Purchase ledger account queries.
- Reconcile Supplier Statements.
- Process weekly and monthly payment runs, process payments to suppliers via BACS.
- Review overdue accounts, chase payments and resolve any queries..
- Reconcile credit card statements, ensuring all receipts are coded correctly.
- Assist the accountants.
- Prepare VAT returns for accountants
- Prepare site files inc H&S information
- National statistics surveys.

**Skills and Qualifications**
- Proficient in Maths and English or Business Studies
- Proficient in the use of accounts software, desirable in the use of office 365. Must have an ability to learn, use and understand systems easily
- Experience with scheduling and payroll
- Ability to learn on the job and adapt easily to change
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Previous experience working in the building industry - desirable
- Proactive and innovative to constantly improve the department and wider business
- Good decision maker
- Ability to delegate and develop others
- Good team worker.

Permanent Fulltime position & will consider temporary to permanent too

Reporting to; Office Manager

**Salary**: £26k per annum, paid weekly

Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, office hours 8am to 5pm

Holiday Entitlement: 21 days plus bank holidays
