Construction Labourer

**Job Summary**
We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Construction Labourer to join our groundwork team.

You MUST have a class C1 + E driving licence and valid CPC as you'll be required to drive a 7.5T tipper waggon and trailer as part of your duties.

We operate nationally, so some overnight stays will be required between Monday-Friday, for which an overnight stay bonus will be paid, and overtime as required.

**Responsibilities**
- Assist our groundwork team in various construction tasks, including but not limited to excavation, sub-base placements, and concrete finishing.
- Prepare and clean construction sites by removing debris and hazardous materials.
- Load and unload materials and equipment from lorries.
- Operate basic hand tools, power tools, and plant safely and effectively.
- Follow instructions from supervisors and adhere to safety protocols at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organised work environment to promote safety and efficiency.
- Assist in barrowing aggregates and concrete at job sites.
- Support the delivery of materials to various locations on-site as needed.
- Driving to and from job sites, builders merchants, and skip yards.

**Qualifications**
- Previous experience in construction or a related field is preferred but not essential. We will provide relevant training if required.
- Ability to perform physical tasks such as lifting heavy objects and standing for long periods.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools, power tools and plant is advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Willingness to learn new skills and take on additional responsibilities as needed.
- A valid C1E + CPC driver's licence is essential.

Initially, you'll be working as a self-employed CIS subcontractor, with the option of a full-time employed position with pension and full holiday pay for the right person after a probationary period.

Pay: £13.00 per hour
