Head of Cardiovascular & Respiratory Clinical Network
The role will include ensuring effective engagement of national, regional and system stakeholders in network activities that support the delivery of national outcome ambitions and priorities as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.
The post holder will lead the provision of an efficient, effective and high quality professional and well co-ordinated service capable of meeting all statutory, regulatory and NHS requirements. They will ensure alignment with the activity of NHS England and local systems, working with and through Integrated Care Systems (ICSs) to support the delivery of improvement in health outcomes and reduction of unwarranted variation in these key clinical areas across the region.
**The post holder will be responsible for**:
- Managing the CVDR network’s business support function, including the development and management of work plans; progress and dashboard reporting; and risk and issue management.
- Leading and managing a team of Senior Programme Managers and support staff, building a supportive working environment and an innovative culture.
- Oversight and management of the key clinical work programmes, supporting the delivery of outcomes and ambitions as outlined in the NHS Long Term Plan.
- Liaising and building relationships with key stakeholders to promote a culture of collaborative working across the networks.
- Managing agreed corporate business returns, including planning and workforce returns.
- Leading the coordination of training, development and recruitment activity for the network team
