ARM are looking to find a highly skilled Quality Assurance Engineering Manager for a highly respected repeat client in Apthill, Bedfordshire.

To be successful in this position you will need to have vast experience in working within a Operation/Manufacture environment and to have closely worked with an Internal Design Team.

Experience within the Defence or Automotive industry is desirable.

Required skills, qualifications and experience:

- Ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team dynamic.
- Credible or recent Manufacture/Operational environment experience.
- A flexible approach to change, strong interpersonal skills to include good communication & listening skills, ability to deliver to exacting standards & a robust character.
- Ability to work in a challenging, pressure environment.
- Experience Leading Small teams of Quality Professionals encompassing Quality Engineers, Supply Quality Engineers and Quality Inspectors.
- Experience in Quality Assurance / Quality Control, especially working with large system design and manufacture sub contracts, FAT Testing & Non-Conformance management.
- Experience or knowledge of QA tools such as APQP, PPAP, MSA, SPC, Control Plans, managing MRBs, producing Data Packs& As-Built lists.
- Management of non-conformances, trend assessment and identification of risks.
- Experience of supporting RCCA teams and Material Review Boards to drive solutions to issues and develop robust preventative actions.
- Knowledge of AS9100 and ISO9001.
- Knowledge of Electrical / Electronic Manufacturing / Vehicle integration / and experience within the Automotive &/or Defence Sector.
- Strong interpersonal skills: ability to initiate and maintain relationships with challenging international suppliers and manage frequent interactions with senior LM management and other internal customers.
- Ability to challenge individuals at all levels to ensure compliance to business processes and standards.
- Basic SAP user skills, Certificate of Design experience, understanding of process improvement, experience in corrective action boards, material review boards, root cause analysis & corrective action plan appreciation.
- Ability to lead and work within a multi-functional team dynamic.
- Credible or recent Manufacture / Operational environment experience.
