**Production Operative**
Reports to Production Manager

The person will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sensors and other peripherals in accordance to the company’s work instructions and procedures in accordance with the company’s ISO9001 certification. Ensuring repeated quality of their own work and that testing is done throughout. They will also be required to take on other responsibilities within reason outside of their immediate remit.

**Responsibilities and Duties**

The person will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling sensors and other peripherals in accordance to the company’s work instructions and procedures in accordance with the company’s ISO9001 certification
- The operator will be responsible for manufacturing and assembling products to a high quality.
- The operator is responsible for producing work & testing per the work instructions where available, and any changes must be made and authorized through your Manager.
- The operator will be responsible for picking and recording components where necessary, over consumption of parts to ensure costing and stock accuracy, and reporting failures and substandard work.
- The operator will be responsible for the quality and testing of their own work, and others if called upon.
- The operator must be mindful of their own Health & Safety at all times, and mindful of those around them in accordance with the Health & Safety Policy.
- The operator is responsible for keeping a clean and tidy environment, stock, components and tools. Putting things back as found being mindful for the next person that uses it.
- The operator must be thoughtful of the environment, recycling where possible in accordance to the company’s ISO14001 certification & “Know your Aspects” handbook.
- The Operator may be asked to perform duties not immediately within their remit, and within reason. We expect all employees to perform these tasks, with the due care and diligence they would their own job.
- The person must be punctual and if for some reason cannot be, must report this to their

Manager at the earliest possible time.

**Attributes & Qualifications**
- Must uphold the qualities and values expected as stated in the company Handbook.
- The person taking on this role must be a confident, hardworking & organized person, comfortable working alone and as a team taking on tasks and their own initiative where necessary. They must be comfortable working towards set goals and timing standards (KPIs) to ensure that orders are shipped on time.
- Must be respectful and courteous to fellow workers, bringing to attention any unacceptable and inappropriate behavior to your manager.
- The operator must have previous experience working in a warehousing and manufacturing background.
- The operator must have prior assembly experience, with good dexterity & and good soldering skills.
- Must be able to listen, to follow instructions given by colleagues and managers.
- Pervious knowledge working with an ERP, MRP system desirable but not essential.

**Salary**: From £19,500.00 per year
