Here at GXO, we are looking for an **Operational Controller** to join us on our Costa contract in Wellingborough. You will be working and overseeing the FLM’s, Team Leaders and Operatives to ensure the productivity of the warehouse operates at the very highest levels, at all times.
This is a permanent, full-time position working any 4 days from 8 on a 07:00 - 19:00 shift.
**Pay, benefits and more**:
We’re looking to offer a salary of up to **£40,000** per annum. In addition, we offer 33 days holiday (excluding bank holidays) as well as the option to buy additional days. You’ll have access to a variety of high street discounts, as well as a cycle to work scheme, a workplace pension, and many other perks.
**What you’ll do on a typical day**:
- Ensure all shifts are resourced effectively to meet operational needs
- With a passion for developing others, you will lead a team to ensure you meet set KPIs, whilst also providing support and guidance to your team
- You will meet and ideally exceed operational targets, as well as lead continuous improvement initiatives at site whilst championing all things health and safety
- You’ll develop positive working relationships with colleagues and the customer, and respond to any customer requests or queries in a timely manner
**What you need to succeed at GXO**
- Knowledge of Customer service, Administration, Warehouse & Transport operations
- An understanding of continuous improvement tools and health and safety
- Strong PC skills with good knowledge of creating and maintaining spreadsheets
- The ability to effectively inspire, lead and develop colleagues
- A flexible and can-do approach
