**About the Role**:
Twitch is looking for an experienced Data Centre Support Technician to provide local and remote support for its Global Edge and PoP (Point of Presence) locations. As a Data Centre Support Technician at Twitch, you will help maintain a network and computing infrastructure across several global locations.

In addition to daily support of escalated Operational tickets, you may be asked to travel between Edge sites conducting routine audits and service assessments. You will also provide remote support to our teams during scheduled maintenance, operational, and service affecting events.

You will report to our Data Centre Operations Manager. You will have experience building relationships with customers along with building solutions to meet technical problems as they arise. You have previous technical troubleshooting experience and a track record for solving complex problems. You will create project build and operational documentation.

**You Will**:

- Facilitate daily operational management of the planning, installation, maintenance, break/fix support, server hardware operation, and supporting infrastructure at scale
- Ensure an amazing Twitch experience using our infrastructure while working to keep operating costs to a minimum
- Mentor teammates helping them run daily operations
- Support Twitch Infrastructure teams during the development of new POP sites and Origin Data Centres
- Work with Twitch engineering and our teams around the globe to evolve and improve processes to allow Twitch to grow
- Create and promote a culture of ownership, innovation, collaboration, and safety
- Work with different teams including business development, network operations and deployment/provisioning team
- Guide the implementation of toolsets and processes

**You Have**:

- Bachelor's Degree (or relevant experience) in a computer science related field
- 4 + years working in a Data Centre operations environment
- Excellent knowledge of server hardware
- Excellent knowledge of Linux, UNIX administration
- Excellent knowledge of Copper/Fibre Optic Testing/Cabling Standards
- Networking knowledge of TCP/IP
- Familiarity with electrical standards, connector types, power budget calculations, AC vs. DC, single phase vs. three phase
- Familiarity with Data Centre design in relation to heat dissipation and air flow
- Ability to travel (~25%)
- The ability to lift equipment weighing 50 lbs

**Bonus Points**:

- Experience working in enterprise Data Centre environments
- Experience managing and driving complex projects to completion with team members in several remote locations
