We have an exciting opportunity for an **Irish Resettlement Worker **to join our team based in our Resource Centre at The Passage. You will join us on a **full time, permanent basis** and in return, you will receive a competitive salary of **£**29,378 per annum (Scale point 15) inc. LW + pension and other benefits - (Scale range - 15-19.**

**The Passage Community Service**s**
As we emerge from the pandemic, the Passage has worked hard to review how we deliver services with an important focus on reflecting our learning in how we support the people and communities we work with. Our new service model focuses on prevention, a renewed sense of urgency to end homelessness, collaboration, ambition for the people we work with and advocacy for social justice.
**About the Irish Resettlement Worker role**:
As our Irish Resettlement Worker, you will provide a warm welcome and safe environment for our clients which is responsive to their needs; ensuring that the initial engagement with our clients is carried out in a positive, helpful manner and delivered with a trauma informed approach. You will work with clients to explore solutions and opportunities to resolve their housing situation, with a focus on working with Irish clients.
You will also ensure the delivery of holistic services to Irish clients who present in crisis to The Passage Resource Centre, identifying housing opportunities where appropriate and offering a reconnection service back to Ireland where this has been identified as an appropriate option. To also ensure the cultural needs of Irish clients are explored and catered for.
**Key responsibilities of our Irish Resettlement Worker will include**:
- Carrying out ongoing research and needs analysis of Irish clients to investigate the opportunities for developing new services.
- Leading on carrying out resettlement work for Irish clients resettling into different strands of accommodation including Private Rented Sector and Supported Housing.
- Developing partnerships, which may be pan London, to enable us to offer outreach services with Irish agencies for clients.
- Working outside The Passage Resource Centre within partner agencies as requested
- Facilitating group work, ensuring that groups are monitored, and trends identified.
- Setting and monitoring targets and outcomes for Irish clients, in conjunction with the Prevention and Partnerships Manager
- Undertaking collaborative working with colleagues to deliver the best quality service
- Developing positive links and partnerships with migrant services in Ireland, such as Crosscare, to support reconnection and resettlement to Ireland.
**Experience**
- Working with and assessing the needs of homeless and/or vulnerable people in a support setting
- Experience of supporting planning and advocacy work on behalf of vulnerable individuals.
- Building and managing relationships with voluntary and statutory agencies.
- Experience of preparing and monitoring reports, monitoring outcomes, and identifying trends by conducting research and evaluating records to assist project and service developments
- Facilitating group work for vulnerable/socially excluded people to develop social networks, build resilience and reduce reliance on services when appropriate
**Knowledge**
- Awareness of the main welfare benefits in the UK and Ireland and how these can be accessed
- Knowledge of the main housing legislation, the Homelessness Reduction Act and how it applies to securing housing for the people we work with
- An understanding of the issues involved in resettling clients and the benefits and challenges of reconnection
- An understanding of the psychologically informed ways of working with service users.
- An understanding of Irish culture and factors that may impact recovery from experiences of homelessness.
