**Overview**
Pilton Equalities Project (PEP) is a charity based in North Edinburgh since 1989, providing a range of services to older and vulnerable adults who may be experiencing social isolation, food deprivation and/or mental health difficulties.

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Community Care Support Worker to work directly with our members, providing high-quality support and assistance to individuals who attend our well-being groups and on a one to one basis. In this role you will contribute to planning a meaningful activity programme.

The anticipated working pattern for this role is Monday to Friday, 09.30-15.00, however some flexibility may be required.

**Duties**
- To ensure good practice standards are maintained within the service.
- Offer emotional support and companionship to members to enhance their mental well-being in a group setting as well as on a one to one basis.
- Support members to participate and build friendships within the setting.
- Assist with meal preparation to ensure nutritional needs are met.
- Contribute to planning a meaningful activity programme.
- To develop and update support plans in accordance with the changing needs of our members.
- To keep accurate records, providing evidence of activities, challenges and changes for each individual.
- To increase member numbers by promoting PEP, organising regular group outings to community events, outdoor projects e.g, walking group, and other greenspace iniatives in line with the Scottish Government Mental Health Act and best practice.
- To promote equal opportunities in the workplace and in service delivery
- Respond promptly to emergencies using first aid skills as required.
- To develop procedures, monitoring and evaluation for the service.
- To collate and analyse evaluation feedback regarding the service, implementing learning to improve service provision.
- To assist in providing quantitative and qualitative data for funding reports
- To work collaboratively with other strategic fora’s/attend meetings.
- To undertake other duties as may reasonably be required by the post.
- To work flexible hours i.e. weekends and evenings when required.
- To carry out all other duties as required by the Manager.

**Experience**
- Experience in Health and Social Care is desirable.
- Working within a team and independently.
- Ability to deal with stress and effectively manage time.
- Basic IT Skills required.
- Training will be provided.

**Job Types**: Part-time, Fixed term contract
Contract length: 3 months

Pay: £18,018.00-£21,450.00 per year

Expected hours: 27.5 per week
