**Job Role**

The Assistant Buyer role involves:

- Carrying out strategic sourcing programs for defined categories.
- Managing Trust procurement portfolios in line with financial instructions and legislation.
- No direct supervisory responsibility but may assist and support trainees and temporary staff.
- Procure Goods, Services, and Works in line with Trust’s Procurement Strategy.
- Lead on lower-risk categories and support higher-risk categories when directed.
- Research, analyze data, and contribute to innovative category strategies.
- Participate in focus groups and contribute to overall procurement strategy.
- Other duties and responsibilities to support the department
