We accommodate young people, with emotional, challenging behaviour and mild learning difficulties.

We are looking for applicants, who are ambitious and motivated to develop their existing care and management skills. The successful applicant should already hold or working towards their NVQ Level 3 in Children and Young People workforce Diploma or an equivalent qualification.

The expected tasks and requirements:

- Build and maintain professional relationships with social workers, and other significant service providers.
- Have an understanding of a child-centred organisation.
- To safeguard and promote the welfare and health of any child staying with us, including the protection of the child from any harm/exploitation.
- To deputise in the absence of the deputy manager and or registered manager
- To help with the general upkeep of the household i.e. conducting the food shop and cleaning.
- To act as a key worker/link worker for individual children, with supervision, including befriending, advising and acting as an advocate when necessary.
- To maintain standards of good practice at all times, establishing purposeful and constructive relationships and appropriate role modelling so as to assist with the development of their life, activities, education, social skills and personal skills.
- Draw upon their already established 2 years’ experience in relevant care setting, within past 5 years.
- Support others and lead on shift.
- Display their administrative skills.
- Assist and successfully be a part of the managerial team for the home.
- Have good interpersonal and communication skills, work as part of a team, be reliable & honest and lastly be flexible to cover shifts and holidays if required.
- You will work 40hrs a week across Monday to Sunday
