An exciting opportunity to join a well-established business as the Senior Accountant. Due to the level of the role, the business is looking for someone ACCA, ACA, CIMA qualified or QBE, with experience managing a team. The successful individual will comewith an excellent level of technical and commercial understanding in order to help drive the business forward. With the growth of the business, the company have decided to add a qualified accountant to help with the management accounting and month end reportingto take on this role.

With an exceptional senior leadership team in place to support the growth of the business, the new member of the team will be asked to help develop, motivate and drive the current team to that next level. The opportunity to drive process improvements acrossthe wider teams is there, with backing from the Group FD.

**Duties**:

- Lead and develop the Accountants to deliver transformational change
- Ensure that the financial information relating to the Group is recorded and reported accurately and on time
- Review and maintain balance sheet control to ensure financial reporting
- Build strong and trusting relationships with key internal and external stakeholders
- Provide financial expertise to the Accountants and wider group, including developing accounting policies and practises
- Process journals, post accruals & pre-payments and delivery of accurate periodic management accounts on a timely basis
- Consolidated monthly management accounts produced and issued in line with reporting timetable
- Monthly review of SIte and Head office P&Ls.
- Assist with the preparation of MI
- Perform periodic Balance sheet reconciliations including intercompany accounts and bank accounts
- Strong and trusting relationships established with all key stakeholders, including Senior Management, Commercial Finance, Internal Heads of Department, General Managers and internal/external auditors.
- Lead team of accountants. Provide coaching, support and challenge to enable their development in line with organisational goals
- Drive transformational change in financial reporting through streamlining systems and processes
- Ensure that all financial reporting is timely and accurate. In particular, the consolidated monthly management accounts need to be issued in line with the strict month end timetable
- Overall Responsibility for balance sheet control, including ensuring 100% compliance of balance sheet reconciliations on a monthly basis
- Support the FD on all matters relating to the provision of MI for external stakeholders such as banks and auditors.
- Adhoc financial projects

Person Spec:

- ACCA, CIMA, ACA qualified or QBE
- Excellent systems and Excel skills
- Team management experience
