The home is registered to provide care to 81 residents who have a variety of care needs including residential, nursing and dementia residential. Grosvenor Manor is rated OUTSTANDING in Responsive and GOOD in all other domains by CQC and has a 5* EHO rating. We provide the highest standards of safety, comfort and care to residents. We are in a great location and have a very good local reputation. New Care has had a 0 agency usage for over 24 months as we employ a permanent staff team to ensure continuity of care to residents from staff that know them and that residents know and trust. Across New Care all of our staff are paid above national living wage.
We are seeking to appoint a kind, caring and experienced Housekeeping and Laundry Assistant to join our team, due to the success of our home. We are looking for motivated Housekeepers who will ensure that the standard of cleanliness and hygiene within the home, is maintained to the highest level and within the New Care specification. We have one full time permanent contract available, shift times are 0800-1600 with alternate weekend working and a competitive hourly rate of £10.30 paid for all staff regardless of their age You must be over 18 to apply.
**Role Responsibilities**:
- Tidying and cleaning residents’ rooms, furnishings and carpets
- To assist with laundry during busy periods such as holidays and sickness
- Tidying and cleaning communal areas
- Regularly cleaning and monitoring the cleanliness of the communal toilets/bathrooms
- Ensuring that all toilets/bathrooms and restaurant areas are kept well stocked with toilet rolls, liquid hand soap and paper hand towels
- Remove any trays or crockery left in rooms from previous meal times
- Following cleaning schedules as delegated by the Head Housekeeper
- To assist with other tasks necessary to facilitate the smooth running of the home as directed by the Line Manager.
**Skills and experience required**:
- Previous non-domestic cleaning and experience of working in a care setting would be beneficial
- Ability to operate cleaning equipment in the Home
- Ability to follow simple written and verbal instructions and write basic comments
- Communicate effectively with other team members
- Display reliability and trustworthiness
