Part Time Cook in a Care Home

We are currently looking for a part time cook to work 28 hours a week between our care home and our sister care home Manor Farm, which is situated less than a mile apart from each other.
Key responsibilities include:
To work to a planned menu ensuring stock rotation and orders compiled on a weekly basis.
To have direct one to one discussion with residents, promoting choice and healthy options as identified in their care plans.
To work to a planned cleaning schedule.
To ensure recording practices are adhered to.
To be considered for this role you will need to have:
The ability to produce good home cooked meals, experience in a former catering environment would be desirable but not essential for the right applicant, as full training for appropriate certification provided.
A natural empathy in regard to interacting with older people.
A good standard of written and verbal English Language skills.
*An additional 6 hours a week can be given as activities hours i.e. one to one or group exercises or outings should additional hours be of interest*.
**Job Type**: Part-time
Part-time hours: 27 per week
**Salary**: From £12.00 per hour
