So, what are we looking for?

We are currently on the search for a new Cash & Banking Assistant to join the team based at our Offices in Trafford Park, Manchester.

We really want to find someone who has excellent communication skills are all levels, takes pride in their ability to deliver outstanding customer service and has impeccable attention to detail.

Having the ability to hand multiple tasks and prioritise workload in a target driven environment will really help you to be a success within the credit control team here at Peel. But, most importantly, we really want you to be a team player, someone who goers above and beyond to help their colleagues.

**What will you be doing?**

The Cash and banking team main responsibility is allocating cash in a timely manner, this may include chasing customers for remits, and working with the property managers on any cash queries.

Specific responsibilities include:

- Update daily bank balances, have an essential knowledge of debits credits
- Post high volume of incoming cash to Debtors Ledger accurately - cash allocation
- Nominal Journals - payroll, vat control, misc payments, record daily Treasury movement for group
- Intercompany payments - nominal and ledgers - understanding of this is vital
- Raise miscellaneous invoices and credits
- Understand General Ledger reports and how bank differences effect these
- Liaise with Accounts Payable in relation to movement on bank daily
- Month end - strict deadlines
- Bank Suspense account and how this works
- Cheques & cash batches

**Who we want?**
- Experience in a cash and banking function
- Knowledge of the property sector an advantage
- Microsoft package i.e. Intermediate to Advanced Excel

Previous experience of accounting software essential; use of MRI desirable
