***About the role**

We have an exciting new opportunity for a Senior Draughtsperson to join our growing team at James Fisher Subtech. As Senior Draughtsperson you will provide comprehensive draughting services to the Operations Team including construction drawings & sketches and structural details and assemblies for subsea structural equipment, spools and rigging assemblies.

Your key responsibilities will also include:

- Carry out all appropriate drawing work as assigned by utilising the Company’s software and hardware packages.
- Manage department resources according to workload.
- Assist Engineering Manager in the development and maintenance of relevant department processes and procedures.
- Liaise directly with Project Team on drawing & sketch requirements.
- Ensuring that all department and project Draughting requirements are satisfied.
- Ensuring that engineering and tendering discipline is maintained.
- Ensuring vessel / project interfaces are managed effectively.
- Identify standard details which are suitable for inclusion in the CAD library.
- Conduct all drawing related activities as laid down in the Company’s IMS and develop new process as required.
- Review and be familiar with Operation Department specifications, design, drawing and procedures in order to conform with the Company’s IMS, the specific requirements of the Client and other governmental or industry statutory bodies.
- Make, develop and encourage any technical suggestions that will enhance the overall Project Engineering or Operational efficiency.
- Conduct any approved modifications to drawings, ensuring all changes are fully documented as per Company IMS.
- Document Control - in conjunction with the Document Control Department generate and maintain each Project master drawing register and organise and maintain Project Files

**Qualifications and Experience**

**Essential**
- Suitable Engineering Qualification e.g HNC
- Good working knowledge / experience as a draughtsperson
- Good attention to detail
- Manage schedules and ensure others within the company comply with the schedule
- Proficient with CAD
- Good IT skills
- Experience in the Oil and Gas, Renewables Industry, including knowledge of the terminology used

**Desirable**
- Knowledge of 3D packages
