**TA/ Teaching Assistant needed for a School in Gateshead**
- Are you a Teaching Assistant/TA?
- Are you compassionate and trustworthy?
- Do you have experience working with EYFS/ Early Years and KS1/Key Stage One?

A school in Gateshead are looking for a caring and experienced Teaching Assistant to help support children with SEND/Special Educational Needs.

The post will involve working 1:1 with children with SEND and working in small groups, assisting with curriculum support and helping with personal care when needed. Experience working with learning difficulties and challenging behaviour is essential.

The adult required ideally should have experience of
- Early years
- Knowledge of children within autistic spectrum/ASD and with limited spoken language.
- Experience of or willingness to develop working knowledge of PECs
- Must have a significant awareness of the need to keep children safe
- Willingness to work with children with challenging behaviour

Above all we require a caring adult who puts the needs of children first and will actively contribute towards a nurturing and caring environment.

**The post is full time and to start immediately.**

To be part of this team you will ideally need to be:

- A team player
- NVQ Level 2 or 3 Qualified
- Minimum of 6 months school experience
- Able to adapt to all environments
- Experience working in a SEND/Special Educational Needs
- Experience working with Social, emotional and mental health/SEMH
