**Spencer Clarke Group** are working alongside Caerphilly Council to appoint a **Building Surveyor** on an ongoing contract (over 2 years' work available)

**As a successful Senior Building Surveyor, your duties will be**:

- To provide surveying and contract management services in relation to planned maintenance, refurbishment and improvement projects to Authority buildings (Non-housing).
- Be the lead project officer on one or more projects at any given time
- Carry out site surveys and develop a project brief.
- Establish and agree a budget estimate and delivery programme.
- Prepare specifications, drawings and other tender documentation.

**To be considered, you will have the following knowledge/experience**:

- Experience in schools, leisure centres, commercial, corporate buildings etc. refurbishments
- Relevant Level 4 or 5 qualification on the Credit and Qualifications Framework For example HNC or HND in Building Studies.
- Good working knowledge of: The maintenance of local authority buildings, Current building regulations, Building defects analysis, DDA design requirements, Fire regulations in relation to access and egress
- Proficient in the use of AutoCad.
- Extensive surveying experience covering a range of building types (Education & Leisure is essential)
- Extensive contract management experience.
- Previous experience working with a council/local authority highly desirable

**What’s on offer**
- Salary: £23-27 per hour
- Contract type: Ongoing
- Hours: Mon-Fri 37 hrs
- Location: WFH + Site visits around Caerphilly
