Controls Engineer

**SUCCESSFUL NATIONAL COMPANY**:A long established company, active in over 50 countries around the world, offering complete industrial washing technology solutions. The company offer a turnkey solution which includes the service and maintenanceof their equipment on various sites around the UK.

**THE OPPORTUNITY**: Create controls software for individual bespoke systems/projects of varying sizes relating to special purpose machinery. Key functions are the design and programming of PLC and windows-based automatic controls systems. Assistsite supervisors in the commissioning phase of a Supertrack system either on site or remotely. Make small PLC and software changes, in line with all current programming standards. Assist the customer in correctly configuring the system, to ensure the customerreceives the best from the software in both logistics and stability. Attend sites worldwide for commissioning and fault-finding purposes.

**Hours**:Monday to Friday 37.5 hours

**Travel**:This role does have international travel as well as occasional out of hours support

**THE CANDIDATE**:
**Essential**:

- Electrical, electronic, computer or IT qualification
- Knowledge or experience with automation
- Understanding of control systems management
- PLC and Software programming
- IT systems and Networks

**Desirable**:

- Commissioning systems on site
- PLC Fault finding
- Automation Studio (B&R ideal)
- B&R PLCs
- Network skills
- Visual Basic Programming
- SQL Programming
- E3
- Ruby programming

**Salary**: £50,000 basic
- Salary increase after probation and again after 12 months
- 33 days holiday
- Overtime
- Pension
