We currently have a fantastic opportunity working for a well-established freight forwarder as a **Freight Project Coordinator** to join the **Expo and Events team and manage a high-profile global sports account.**
The role of **Expo and Events Coordinator** will involve assisting in managing a major global sporting events account. This will include the operational delivery which includes tasks such as coordination of shipments in and out of the events, collaboratingwith the client to ensure transit times are accurate and aligned with the sports events calendar
The role will involve extensive international travel to support onsite handling and coordination of containers, equipment, MHE etc and will involve travelling circa 3 months a year globally to support the race calendar for up to 3 - 4 weeks at a time.
**Your Responsibilities**:
** Handling events schedules, pricing and operational delivery**
** Manage multimodal logistic requirements, including large, time sensitive sea freight bookings**
** Onsite project management of events in location**
** Attend client meetings as required**
** Coordinate shipments in and out of the events**
**Skills required**:
** Previous experience in a logistics or freight environment and preferably Multimodal Operational experience**
** Experience in managing customers and trading relations.**
** A good level of IT literacy**
** Account / Project management experience**
** People and team management and excellent communication**
** Full driving licence**
** GCSE grade C or above Maths and English or equivalent.**
** Customs clearance knowledge, ATA Carnets, Temporary Import etc**
** Sea freight experience (ideally project based)**
** Must be able to travel internationally**
**This role is based remotely but ideally we would like a Midlands/Kent based candiddate**
**Salary/Benefits**
**We are offering a competitive salary £30,000 - £35,000 dependent upon experience**
**23 days holiday plus bank holidays, life assurance and private health insurance.**
