Minimum of BSc in Chemistry and 2 years waste or related industry experience. An organised individual with a high regard for health & safety, having good communication skills and able to work on their own and in a team. A willingness to learn, with a keenattention to detail and good administration skills. This position will oversee the acceptance and dispatch of waste from the facility and manage other site chemists within the transfer stationMinimum of BSc in Chemistry and 2 years waste or related industryexperience. A willingness to learn, with a keen attention to detail and good administration skills. This positionwill oversee the acceptance and dispatch of waste from the facility and manage other site chemists within the transfer station.

Work closely with the transfer station chemist to ensure all incoming loads are checked in a timely manner, typically on the same day the arrive on site.

Sampling and testing incoming waste to confirm it is as described by the customer.Ensure that any non-conformances accurately recorded, and where appropriate waste is quarantined as per the requirements of the site permit.

Completing lab analysis on waste samples in the onsite laboratoryCompleted the required paperwork to administer the incoming loads to the site, and assist with printing and distributing relevant paperwork where required.

Overseeing dispatch and disposal of hazardous wastes through approved third parties or GRG waste UK businesses.

Work closely with other members of the team to ensure site operations are safe and efficient at all times.Manage the workload of other site chemists to ensure tasks are completed in priority order.

Training other site chemists on best practise and handling of material, completion of paperwork, dispatch of material to treatment plants.Managing stock levels and ensuring they are within permit limits.

To carry out other tasks that the Company may reasonably expect to be done and that are within the capabilities of the job holder whether this is on their usual site or another within reasonable travelling distance that belongs to or is managed by the Businessor another GRG company.

To undertake additional tasks or duties from time to time as necessary to meet the needs of the business.
