**So, what does the role of a **Professional Indemnity Scheme Handler **here involve?**
This role will be made for you if you love fostering relationships and offering a comprehensive service to clients and sub-brokers to find the right Insurance products, particularly professional indemnity, to fit their needs.
Our Scheme Handlers are excellent at quoting and placing cover when instructed, inviting and binding renewals, dealing with mid-term adjustments, broking client requirements within the insurance market and providing assistance in all areas.
You will work independently and manage client requirements within the scope of a busy client book that spans all commercial insurance sectors but with a particular focus on professional indemnity. This may include client contact and visits.
**What you will do**
This is an overview and not an exhaustive list of responsibilities. Collaborating with your Line Manager, you will develop your own objectives but focus on all the following and more:
- Ensure accuracy, efficiency and professionalism when dealing with both client, sub-broker and insurer and conducting related administration work in relation to:
- New business
- Renewals
- Mid Term Adjustments
- Queries
- Premium financing arrangements
- Ensure all business activity fully complies with FCA regulation and company procedures as detailed in the compliance manual.
- Handle any complaints in accordance with company procedures and regulatory requirements.
- Assist with claims handling and associated administration, as required.
- Conduct learning, training and assessment exercises in accordance with the individual T&C scheme applicable to you. Identify further areas for own development as required.
- Achieve and maintain a high level of customer service and promote exceptional customer care standards at all times.
- Develop and maintain a professional working relationship with all clients and provide expert product advice and guidance
- Actively secure renewal business by re-broking existing business to ensure the client is presented with the most suitable and cost-effective cover.
**What experience does our **Professional Indemnity Scheme Handler **need?**
It’s essential that you have some insurance experience gained ideally in a broking environment and within commercial and/or financial lines, preferably with a strength in professional indemnity. It would be a bonus if you have experience using Acturis and any relevant qualifications, although we offer plenty of opportunity to gain these once you join us.

This is an office-based role, at least until probation is passed. Hybrid working patterns can then be discussed.
