An exciting opportunity has arisen for a professional and driven individual to join our Business Support Team within the Neighbourhoods and Green Spaces service area. We provide a wide range of frontline services including Waste & Recycling, Grounds Maintenance and Street Cleansing, Engineering, Fleet Services, Pest Control and Parking. This role sits within the administration team that supports all these services.
Your new role:
We are looking for an experienced individual to provide customer services and administrative support to our operational services.
You will deal with enquiries from both internal and external customers and carry out a variety of administrative tasks ensuring Council standards, protocols and processes are adhered to at all times. These tasks may include managing incoming cases, raising purchase orders and invoices, making bookings for service visits, taking payments over the telephone, dealing with complaints and setting up contracts for services. You will be proactive, flexible and have a strong desire to deliver great customer service and be willing and able to learn new systems and processes quickly.
About You:
You must have excellent communication skills, the ability to prioritise workloads and be able to work with minimum supervision. You will need to be self-motivated, have a positive approach to change, and be prepared to share knowledge and skills as well as having a flexible, can-do attitude. You will have the ability to handle varying data and queries, remain calm and professional even when the pressure of workload is high.
Strong I.T skills and customer services experience is essential, and knowledge of the systems and processes undertaken by the Neighbourhoods and Green Spaces service area is highly desirable.
