**Role**:
Reporting to the Director of Trusteeship, Administration and DB Supervision, a Regulatory Theme lead is responsible for the day-to-day execution of TPR’s regulatory responsibilities in relation to Regulatory compliance, risk oversight and member outcomes in the context of a regulatory theme or themes of the UK Trusteeship, Administration and DB market in one of the following.
- DB Funding and Events.
- Consolidation and Emerging Models.
- Governance and Trusteeship.
- Administration, Dashboards and Cyber.

**Responsibilities**:
**Managing people**:

- Develop talent by fostering an environment that encourages progression and self-improvement.
- Act as a mentor for colleagues across the Market Oversight function.
- Create a collaborative team culture where issues are openly discussed and resolved.
- Nurture team members through recognition and reward to retain key staff and attract new talent.
- Accept accountability for the segment’s performance and recognise direct reports’ contributions.
- Reflect TPR’s desired attributes through actions and behaviours.
- Resolve conflicts confidently and pragmatically.

**Managing the client segment**:

- Oversee the management of regulated entities in the regulatory theme.
- Serve as a point of contact for C-suite officers of regulated entities.
- Ensure efficient, proactive and timely execution of team workload.
- Set and manage team priorities, ensuring alignment with TPR’s focus areas.
- Implement a proactive engagement model with the client segment.
- Share knowledge across the Market Oversight function.
- Embrace change and innovative solutions in managing workload and relationships.
- Maintain an outcome-oriented approach, prioritising material member outcomes.

**Managing self**:

- Embrace change and innovative solutions to regulatory challenges.

**Essential and desirable criteria**:

- Qualified pensions advisory or industry or leadership professional, or equivalent experience.
- **Leadership and Team Management**:Demonstrated ability to manage a multi-disciplinary team of senior level individuals with emotional intelligence, credibility, and expertise.
- **Stakeholder Relationship Management**:Professional presence and empathy to build and maintain effective relationships with senior leadership teams of regulated entities.
- **Industry Knowledge**:Thorough understanding of the commercial challenges and complexities facing the discrete regulatory themes of the Trusteeship, Administration and DB industry, including regulatory requirements and TPR objectives.
- **Risk Management**:Ability to make informed judgments about risks at both entity and industry levels, and act as an escalation point for contentious issues.
- **Communication Skills**:Accomplished communication skills with the ability to discuss technical pensions and industry issues both internally and publicly to DB Pension Industry figures, trustees and pension managers, market advisors, market service providers and senior colleagues within TPR.
