Data Privacy Manager

RAC are on the lookout for a **Data Privacy Manager** to work **hybrid** hours from our **Bradley Stoke** office. This role will be part of our data protection team which forms part of RAC’s corporate legal team. Reporting into the DPO who leads the data protection team your role will be essential inensuring that the RAC complies with all requirements imposed by data protection legislation including the GDPR, Data Protection Act 2018 and PECR.
As part of the data protection team, you will have a key role in supporting the growth and innovation of the business in a privacy conscious manner. This will include advising on data protection impact assessments, undertaking control reviews, staff trainingand more.
You will also serve as a contact for all areas of the business, the ICO and individuals whose data is processed by the RAC.
**Role purpose**
- assisting with implementing measures and a privacy governance framework to manage data use in compliance with data protection legislation.
- working with key internal stakeholders in the review of projects and related data to ensure compliance with data protection legislation and advising on data privacy impact assessments.
- serving as a point of contact for data protection queries in the business.
- reviewing vendor contracts (including EU model clauses) needed to implement projects.
- assisting in managing and conducting ongoing reviews of RAC’s data protection framework and reporting on data protection compliance within the organisation;
- horizon scanning and making recommendations to the business where appropriate.
- working with our Information Security Team to ensure that our IT systems and procedures comply with all relevant data protection law, regulation and policy.
**Qualifications**
Sufficient knowledge of information technology and data management systems.
