**Graduate SEMH Teaching Assistant**

Shape A Life is seeking a Graduate Teaching Assistant to support **Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) Needs.**

This role is ideal for a graduate considering a career in SEN education, teaching or is considering something within health care or social care.

The Graduate Teaching Assistant will work closely with the school's SENCo and will need to be energetic and creative in their approach to inspire students 11-16.

**Starting January 2025,**this will be a term-time-only position, and you will earn **£450 per week.**

**You will need**:

- Passion and enthusiasm to shape the next generation.
- An interest in SEMH, SEN, education,
- **2:2 or above degree - a degree in the social sciences would be advantageous**:

- Have high expectations of teaching and learning.
- Ability to relate well to pupils and adults.
- To be a positive role model
- Be keen to develop as a professional

**Your Key Responsibilities**:

- Taking responsibility learners both inside and outside of the classroom
- Assessing the needs of the students under your care and support the teacher with monitoring progress
- Support students educational progress and attainment
- Delivering 1:1 and small group interventions
- Promote positive values, attitudes, and good pupil behaviour.
- Actively encourage the inclusion of all students to participate in the life and activities of the school.
- Promote and reinforce the inclusion, acceptance and integration of all pupils.
