An opportunity has arisen for a 12-month fixed term post as an Audiologist within Seashell, working across our site. The successful applicant will be an integral part of our unique Audiology service.

This unique opportunity offers term-time only working patterns, with flexible working, with a strong focus on CPD and innovative practise.

The Audiology department at Seashell provides a comprehensive range of diagnostic and rehabilitative services for children and young people with hearing loss along with other complex needs. Audiologists benefit from extended session time and innovative ways of working to successfully explore the hearing assessment and management plans of the students on site.

The role will allow you to work as part of an exciting and dynamic Multi-Disciplinary Team (including OT, Physio, SaLT, Education & Nursing).

**Requirements**:
This role will involve carrying out complex work in the Audiology team to include complex paediatric hearing assessments, management of hearing aids across site, and innovative rehabilitation techniques.

Applications are welcomed from Audiologists, ideally those who have previously worked in a paediatric audiology setting and those with experience of working with complex needs. This is an excellent opportunity for a caring individual with outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to utilise and further develop their expertise; passion for providing care for children and young people with complex needs is essential.

The ability to work as part of a team or independently is essential, as is being able to manage a busy and varied workload. CPD is strongly encouraged and there will be opportunities to support further personal and professional development.

**Main Duties**
- A specialised Paediatric Audiologist who can manage an autonomous caseload; someone who can show excellent organisation and communication skills.
- To assist the Principal Audiologist in the planning, development, and delivery of the Audiology Service for the complex needs caseload on site.
- To play an integral role in ensuring high quality service delivery and improvements to maintain CQC standards.
- To take an active role in areas of clinical audit; research and clinical governance for the audiology service, which may include designing and completing audits within own fields, participating in data collection for larger projects and contributing to the development of evidence based protocols.
- To support the Principal Audiologist in the design and implementation of future projects and expansion of the audiology service.

**Requirements**:

- GCSE English and Maths (grade A-C) or level 2 equivalent is a requirement for these positions.
- Experience supporting children and young people with complex health needs preferred.
- These are physically demanding roles with a requirement to keep up with the active students who may like to run, use our adapted bikes and go in the swimming pool.
